Hazards to be aware of
- Falls from incorrect infant positioning or fabric weakness
- Suffocation if face covered
- Difficult breathing when sleeping with chin on neck can lead to suffocation
- Back injuries through incorrect wearing by adults. Size of sling is dependent on the size of the wearer
Environment
- Must be used in appropriate settings, eg not when cooking or driving
- Unsafe without close adult supervision
- Do not cover infant's face
- Secure infant in product so falls are avoided
